Why YourCruiseAgents? Connie Saunders, co-owner has a passion for women. Her own Mother, Jean, was diagnosed when Connie was just 16, and because of early detection, she is a cancer survivor today! (28 years later). One of Connie's good friends, Mary Kay Sales Director, Deneen Goetz, was 28 years old when she was diagnosed. Deneen benefited from The Donna Hicken Foundation while she fought the fight and in the end, her family asked for donations to The Donna Hicken Foundation in lieu of flowers. Thus prompted the "Cruise For a Cure!" We hope this is the first of what will be an annual event to help fight the cause.
Why October? October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month and what a better way to promote awareness than with a vacation!!!
Why Carnival Fascination: Carnival's Fund Raising Program is one of the best in the industry. It allows cruisers to have a good time on a "Fun Ship" and support a good cause too!
The Fascination is also the ONLY ship sailing out of the First Coast Port of Jacksonville!
The Donna Hicken Foundation helps women on the First Coast. This is a First Coast event and so we wanted to sail from our own "First Coast Port". Carnival Fascination is a bigger, better ship than the one currently sailing out of Jacksonville. The Fascination will come to Jacksonville in September, 2008, and we will be one of the first groups to sail on her!
Proceeds from the cruise will go directly to The Donna Hicken Foundation, a charitable organization dedicated to helping First Coast Women with breast cancer.

About Donna Hicken: Founder of Donna Hicken Foundation
A two-time breast cancer survivor, Donna has a huge following as an evening news anchor for Gannett Broadcasting’s NBC and ABC affiliates in Jacksonville, Fla. She founded The Donna Hicken Foundation, which funds the critical needs of underserved women with breast cancer, and the “26.2 with Donna” program. She is an avid marathon runner, completing several after her cancer diagnosis.
